1996-97 Houston Rockets season : ウィキペディア英語版 | 1996–97 Houston Rockets season
The 1996-97 NBA season was the Rockets' 30th season in the NBA, and 26th season in Houston.〔(1996-97 Houston Rockets )〕 During the offseason, the Rockets acquired Charles Barkley from the Phoenix Suns. Houston would finish third in the Western Conference with a 57-25 record. They also made a surprising run in the playoffs. First sweeping the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round, defeating the Seattle Supersonics in the semifinals, then going all the way to the Western Conference Finals, only to lose in six games to the Utah Jazz. After the departures of Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Clyde Drexler, the Rockets didn't reach the Conference Finals again until 2015. Around that period, they were now led by James Harden, Dwight Howard, and coach Kevin McHale. The Rockets lost to the Golden State Warriors in five games. ==Offseason== During the 1996 offseason, Charles Barkley was traded from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Sam Cassell, Robert Horry, Mark Bryant, and Chucky Brown. Barkley chose Houston specifically because he hoped to win an NBA Championship with the team.
